PN claims fake news, psychological warfare to intensify ahead of Negeri Sembilan polls

Perikatan Nasional (PN) anticipates an intensified campaign of fake news, slander, and psychological warfare as the Negeri Sembilan state election approaches. Tan Sri Annuar Musa, PN's Information Chief, warned that cybertroopers from various factions are set to deploy a barrage of manipulated facts and divisive narratives in the final week before polling.

Musa urged voters to exercise caution and verify all information they encounter. He stated that certain parties, feeling threatened, are resorting to significant spending and deploying all their resources. He also suggested that efforts are underway to control public sentiment and align it with the authorities' narrative.

"Voters are urged to be steadfast and support the unity of the ummah. This is our time to defend the power of people's consensus. Do not be divided or allow yourselves to be split apart," Musa said in a statement. He emphasized the importance of maintaining unity against those who seek to fracture the populace.
