Poland Invests $190 Million in Defense Tech Through PERUN Program

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk hailed new funding agreements within the PERUN program as a significant boost for the nation's military modernization efforts. He announced that 753 million Polish zloty (approximately $190 million USD) will be invested in 29 innovative projects designed to enhance the Polish army's technological edge.

"This is a shot in the arm for Polish science and companies, injecting ideas, money, and technology into the Polish army," Tusk stated during the agreement signing ceremony. He emphasized that the PERUN program, a joint initiative by the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and the National Center for Research and Development, aims to foster the development of cutting-edge defense technologies and military equipment.
