Police foil bandit attack in Sokoto, recover 43 rustled sheep

Police in Nigeria's Sokoto State have successfully thwarted a bandit attack in Anada Village, Binji Local Government Area. The operation resulted in the recovery of all 43 sheep stolen by the armed bandits who invaded the village on Thursday night.

According to a statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ahmad Rufa’i, the Divisional Police Officer in Binji swiftly mobilized a tactical team to pursue the suspects. The operatives intercepted the bandits, blocking their escape routes and engaging them in a fierce gun battle. Overwhelmed by the police's superior firepower, the attackers abandoned the stolen sheep and fled into the forest.
