Police in Ventspils search for two children who left store while mother was at checkout

Authorities in Ventspils, Latvia, are urgently seeking information on the whereabouts of two young children who disappeared on Monday, June 15. Niks, born in 2015, and Evelīna, born in 2018, were last seen leaving the Lidl store located at Kuldīgas Street 90 around 1:55 PM.

Their mother was reportedly at the checkout counter at the time the children walked out of the store unsupervised. The State Police have released descriptions of the children in hopes of a swift recovery. Niks was wearing a dark blue vest, light gray denim jeans with ripped knees, and black shoes. He has short, dark hair. Evelīna was dressed in a purple vest, turquoise leggings with an animal print below the knees, and pink shoes. She has two braids that reach her shoulders.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen the children or has any information regarding their location to contact them immediately by dialing 112. Images of the children have been shared to aid in the search.
