Police Officers Assist in Imminent Birth of Baby Girl in Montevideo

Police officers from the High Operational Dedication Program (PADO) in Montevideo, Uruguay, provided crucial assistance during a baby's birth in the Casavalle neighborhood. The officers responded to an emergency call on Monday morning, arriving at a home near Route 1 to find a woman in the final stages of labor.

Recognizing the imminent nature of the birth, Officer Sebastián Dos Santos and Sub-officer Martín Andrade immediately stepped in to help. They provided support during the delivery process while paramedics were en route to the scene. Their quick actions ensured the safety and well-being of both the mother and the baby.

The newborn girl, who was named Renata, and her mother were reported to be in good health following the police-assisted delivery. Emergency medical teams arrived shortly after the birth and transported both to the Pereira Rossell Hospital for further care and observation.
