Police push stranded car to clear traffic jam during morning rush hour

During the morning commute on July 21, a car broke down in the left-turn lane at the Zhubei interchange, causing significant traffic disruption. The vehicle stalled as it attempted to move forward on a green light, leading to a chorus of honking horns from frustrated drivers behind.

Officers from the Liujia Police Station responded to the scene. After assessing the situation, they determined the car likely experienced a clutch cable failure. While one officer directed traffic to slow down approaching vehicles, the other comforted the distressed driver.

As the next left-turn green light appeared, the two officers quickly transformed into a "pushing team." In the limited time available, they worked together to manually push the disabled vehicle out of the traffic lane and to a safe spot on the roadside. Their swift intervention cleared the intersection, allowing traffic to resume smoothly and preventing a worsening traffic jam during the busy morning rush.

Bystanders who witnessed the officers' efficient response applauded their timely assistance. The Zhubei Precinct of the Hsinchu County Police Bureau reminded drivers that if their vehicle breaks down on the road, they should immediately activate hazard lights, set up a warning triangle if safe to do so, and call for assistance to avoid secondary accidents.
