Police Re-engage with Shooting Victims in Nørresundby for Mental Support

North Jutland Police are resuming contact with individuals deeply affected by the recent shooting incident at Virkelyst 12 in Nørresundby. The initiative aims to provide crucial mental health support to witnesses and victims grappling with the aftermath of the violent event.

"When you have been involved in such a violent incident as this, you have a need for help with the mental consequences you have incurred," stated Niels Kronborg, deputy police director at North Jutland Police. The police have previously reached out to those involved, but are now intensifying their efforts, particularly focusing on individuals who were in close proximity to the incident. These individuals will receive further offers of crisis assistance, including support from the psychosocial emergency response.

Alongside the ongoing investigation into the shooting, police are also investigating the cause of a fire that engulfed an auto-painting workshop at the same premises. The police presence remains active at and around the crime scene as these investigations continue.
