Police Satisfied with Smooth Nomination Process for Negeri Sembilan Election

The nomination process for the Negeri Sembilan State Election concluded without any untoward incidents, according to state police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad.

Alzafny expressed satisfaction with the orderly proceedings, stating that supporters from all contesting parties followed police directives throughout the day. "The feedback I received from all district police chiefs indicates that the situation at all eight nomination centers was successfully controlled, and all party supporters heeded advice and instructions," he said.

The Negeri Sembilan police force deployed a significant contingent of 2,373 officers and personnel to ensure security both inside and outside the nomination centers. Traffic control was also managed, with no reported issues concerning traffic flow or party supporters.

The number of supporters at each center varied, ranging from 1,000 to 2,500 people. Jempol saw the largest gathering, while Kuala Pilah had the smallest. Alzafny also reminded candidates to conduct their campaigns, particularly rallies and programs, without touching on sensitive issues related to religion, royalty, and race (3R), or engaging in provocation and incitement.
