Polish MPs' investment profiles: Cryptocurrencies, US stocks, and multi-million zloty portfolios revealed

A review of financial disclosures reveals that a significant number of Polish Members of Parliament (MPs) are actively investing in the stock market and other financial instruments.

Out of 460 MPs, 38 explicitly declared investments in domestic and foreign stocks for the year 2025. An additional, unspecified number invest through Individual Pension Security Accounts (IKZE), though their specific holdings are not detailed. The total amount allocated to securities by MPs in the past year is estimated to be around 75 million PLN, an increase from 58 million PLN in 2024.

Cryptocurrencies have emerged as a popular investment for members of the Konfederacja party. Notably, Sławomir Mentzen reported holding 33.7 Bitcoins valued at 10.5 million PLN at the end of December 2025. Other Konfederacja MPs, such as Paweł Berkowicz, Krzysztof Bosak, Krzysztof Szymański, and Ryszard Wilk, also disclosed cryptocurrency holdings. Fragmentary Bitcoin holdings were also declared by Patryk Jaskulski of Civic Coalition (KO) and Janusz Kowalski.

Investments in the stock market by Polish MPs typically range from tens of thousands to several tens of thousands of zlotys. For instance, Artur Gierda (KO) held shares worth approximately 17,000 PLN in companies like Allegro, Amica, and KGHM. Piotr Adamowicz (KO) had shares valued at 17,800 PLN, including holdings in banks and developers. Michał Gramatyka (Poland 2050) reported domestic and foreign stocks worth about 20,000 PLN, encompassing companies like JSW, Intel, and PayPal.

Janusz Cieszyński (PiS), a former Minister of Digitization, demonstrated more substantial investment activity, holding around 95,000 PLN in stocks and equity funds by the end of 2025, primarily through ETFs and IKZE.
