Post-Courier Honors Sir Rabbie Namaliu, Commends Police Efforts, and Notes Cyclone Relief

The Post-Courier is proud to dedicate its new building to the memory of Sir Rabbie Namaliu, a distinguished statesman and former Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea. Sir Rabbie was a staunch defender of press freedom and served on our board for many years until his passing. His legacy is one we deeply respect and wish to honor. We also extend our commendations to the police force, particularly the men and women in Blue, for their efforts in cleaning up public spaces around traffic lights and bus stops. This visible improvement is encouraging, and we hope it signals a sustained commitment to maintaining order and cleanliness throughout our cities. Furthermore, we note the Prime Minister's promise of assistance to remote communities devastated by Cyclone Maila. It is heartening to see swift responses, including aid from neighboring districts and the provision of crucial communication services by a satellite internet provider, highlighting the importance of connectivity in disaster relief efforts.
