Post-Earthquake NTT: Elnusa Petrofin Speeds Up Fuel Distribution for Pertamina Patra Niaga

PT Elnusa Petrofin is expediting the restoration of fuel distribution in the Fuel Terminal (FT) Reo area of Nusa Tenggara Timur, which was impacted by a powerful magnitude 7.7 earthquake. The company is working to overcome access disruptions caused by landslides along key routes.

As a subsidiary of PT Elnusa Tbk, Elnusa Petrofin is balancing the safety of its personnel with the critical need to supply Pertamina fuel to the affected population. The company has adjusted its operational procedures to align with the prevailing road conditions and the evolving situation on the ground.

To bolster its operations, Elnusa Petrofin has mobilized additional Mobile Tank Crew (AMT) personnel from other operational regions outside of Nusa Tenggara Timur. Furthermore, extra fleets have been prepared to support fuel distribution in and around Reo. The company is also coordinating alternative supply schemes to ensure that fuel needs are met throughout the recovery process.

Putiarsa Bagus Wibowo, Manager of Corporate Communication & Relations at PT Elnusa Petrofin, emphasized that personnel safety and the continuity of energy distribution are the company's primary concerns. "Elnusa Petrofin is accelerating the recovery of fuel distribution in the Reo area and its surroundings. All our steps are carried out in a measured manner while prioritizing the safety and security of personnel," Wibowo stated on Sunday (August 16, 2026). He added that operational patterns are continuously adjusted to field conditions to ensure energy needs are met safely and optimally.

While the Ruteng-Reo route is now passable for four-wheeled vehicles, it remains inaccessible for tank trucks. The Trans Marapokot-Danga route is still closed, but the Trans Flores Ende-Bajawa route has reopened and is being utilized to support operations. In addition to distribution recovery, Elnusa Petrofin is preparing logistical aid for disaster-affected communities, with distribution tailored to local needs and access conditions.
