Power cuts lasting up to 11 hours scheduled in Lima districts this Thursday

Residents and businesses in several districts of Lima should prepare for scheduled power cuts on Thursday, September 3. Pluz Energía said the interruptions form part of maintenance work intended to improve electricity service.

The cuts will affect areas of San Martín de Porres, San Miguel, San Juan de Lurigancho and Lima Cercado. They will also reach San Antonio de Chaclla, in San Juan de Lurigancho, and San Miguel de Acos in Huaral. The exact timing will vary by neighborhood.

In San Martín de Porres, service will be interrupted from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in several residential areas, including Virgen del Carmen, California, Brisas de Santa Rosa and Santa Rita. In San Miguel, the planned interruption will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on part of Jirón Alfonso Ugarte and Avenida Malecón Bertolotto.

San Juan de Lurigancho has one of the longest scheduled outages, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The listed areas include Nueva Vida, Campamento de Dios, Juan Pablo II and several surrounding settlements.

In Lima Cercado, the outage is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in sections around Avenida 28 de Julio and several streets in the area. San Antonio de Chaclla will have an interruption from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., while San Miguel de Acos is scheduled for a cut from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Users in the affected zones are advised to check the specific schedule for their area.
