Prabowo believes Hipmi can produce leaders

President Prabowo Subianto attended the 18th National Conference of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi) in Bandar Lampung on June 10, 2026. During the opening ceremony, Prabowo addressed the Hipmi members, stating his familiarity with many of their prominent figures and expressing a sense of alignment with the organization.

"I have been close with Hipmi for a long time," Prabowo remarked, as broadcast by the Presidential Secretariat. He humorously added that he was well aware of their various quirks and behaviors, warning them playfully, "I know all your habits. So don't mess around, I know all your behaviors. I even know your mannerisms."

Prabowo conveyed his confidence that Hipmi is capable of producing future leaders. He highlighted that many national figures have emerged from the organization, holding significant positions in government and business, both historically and currently. "Hipmi's role is immense. This platform nurtures societal and economic leaders," he stated.

The 18th Hipmi National Conference is scheduled to take place at the Novotel Hotel in Bandar Lampung, Lampung Province, from June 10-11, 2026. The theme for this year's conference is 'Synergy of Young Entrepreneurs Building National Economic Strength.' The event also includes the election of the Hipmi chairman for the 2026-2029 term, with Ade Jona Prasetyo, Anthony Leong, Reynaldo Bryan, and Afifuddin Kalla as the four candidates.

More than 2,000 participants, including officials, former chairmen, and members, are expected to attend. Several ministers from the "Red and White Cabinet" were present at the opening, including Foreign Minister Sugiono, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Public Housing and Human Settlements Maruarar Sirait, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, a former Hipmi chairman from 2015-2019, also attended.
