Prabowo Gathers Ministers at Hambalang for Energy Talks

President Prabowo Subianto gathered ministers at his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor, on Monday evening, July 13, 2026, for a limited meeting. The discussions covered a range of issues, notably the availability of energy resources.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated that one of the key agenda items was the price of subsidized fuel specifically for fishermen. Prabowo directed the government to establish a special fuel price for fishing vessels ranging from 30 to 200 gross tons, setting it at Rp 15,000 per liter. For smaller fishing boats under 30 gross tons, fuel is already supplied at Rp 6,800 per liter.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia added that the meeting also explored government initiatives to support fishermen, including fuel subsidies for their vessels. Lahadalia expressed hope that this subsidy scheme would aid their operations and indicated that the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources would soon issue a decision to follow up on the directive.

The meeting saw the attendance of numerous ministers, including Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, and Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin. Other attendees included Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, and Minister of Agraria and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency Nusron Wahid. Officials such as Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Head of BRIN Arif Satria, and Head of BP BUMN Dony Oskaria were also present.
