Prabowo Inaugurates Renovated Library and Museum at Seskoad Bandung

President Prabowo Subianto officially opened the renovated library and museum at the Army Command and Staff College (Seskoad) in Bandung, West Java, on Monday, May 25, 2026.

According to the Presidential Secretariat, Seskoad has a distinguished history of educating leaders who have gone on to serve as heads of state. Notable alumni include former Presidents Soeharto, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and President Prabowo Subianto himself. Additionally, three former Vice Presidents, Umar Wirahadikusumah, Sudharmono, and Try Sutrisno, are also graduates of the institution.

The inauguration underscores Seskoad's role as a strategic educational institution both nationally and internationally. The college has also educated foreign military leaders, including four former Chiefs of Staff of the Singapore Army. The museum's exhibits detail the history, journey, and dedication of past leaders, intended to inspire current officers in training. Colonel Arhanud Desi Ariyanto, Head of the Department of Heroism and Doctrine at Seskoad, highlighted the museum as a crucial learning space for officers to understand the history of struggle and leadership.

The Seskoad library houses 42,000 books, and the college educates approximately 500 students annually, including 30 international students. "They study here. On the first floor of the museum, they learn history; on the second floor, they enrich themselves to gain abilities, skills, and especially critical thinking, not only in military matters but also in governance," Ariyanto explained.
