Prabowo Inaugurates Revitalized Semarang Tawang Station

President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated the first phase of the revitalized Semarang Tawang Station, a cultural heritage building in Semarang, Central Java. The ceremony on Thursday, July 30, 2026, marked a significant milestone in the station's restoration.

"With the grace of Allah the Almighty. This afternoon, Thursday, July 30, 2026, I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, hereby inaugurate the revitalization of Semarang Tawang Station," Prabowo declared during his speech. He highlighted the station's strong historical value, stating that a great nation must not forget its past while striving for advancement.

The President expressed gratitude to all relevant parties for their significant contributions to the project. He was accompanied by several ministers and officials, including Minister of Education and Culture Fadli Zon, Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi, President Director of PT KAI Bobby Rasyidin, and Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi.

This inauguration is part of Prabowo's working visit to Central Java. After the event at Semarang Tawang Station, the President was set to board the Nusantara Explorer train to Batang. There, he was scheduled to inaugurate a mass mortgage agreement for 62,000 subsidized homes, a large-scale housing initiative spread across 165 locations in 372 regencies/cities throughout 36 provinces.
