President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia acknowledged the necessity of public criticism for his administration but stressed the equal importance of rapid action to serve the people. Speaking at the DPR RI in Jakarta, he highlighted the current synergistic relationship between the government and parliament, stating it does not negate democracy but rather necessitates continued oversight and critique.

To address this, Prabowo announced a significant policy initiative: the operationalization of a Strategic Mineral and Commodity Exchange on January 1, 2027. This exchange, to be overseen by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), aims to establish reference prices for Indonesia's key export commodities. This move is presented as a continuation of the government's existing single-door export policy, signaling a determined effort to ensure the nation's wealth directly benefits its citizens.

Because of that, the government that I lead will immediately operationalize the Strategic Mineral and Commodity Exchange under the supervision of the Financial Services Authority on January 1, 2027.
