Prabowo: Indonesia's Danantara fund revenue surged 400%, pending audit

President Prabowo Subianto has announced a potentially significant increase in the revenue of Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund, Danantara, reporting a surge of approximately 400 percent during its inaugural year. However, the President stressed that these figures are preliminary and subject to rigorous verification and auditing processes.

"I received a report stating that Danantara's revenue has increased by roughly 400 percent. We must continue to audit and verify this," Prabowo stated during the launch of ten books authored by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, in Jakarta. He added that even if the final audited figure falls short of 400 percent, the growth would still be considered substantial.

The Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) has yet to release its consolidated financial report for the 2025 fiscal year. This report is crucial for a comprehensive understanding of the fund's performance. While state-owned enterprises (SOEs) within the Danantara ecosystem have completed their individual financial statements, the consolidation process is complex.

Danantara COO Dony Oskaria explained that compiling the consolidated report takes time due to the need to process and reconcile financial statements from over 1,000 companies, including eliminating inter-entity transactions. He assured that the report will undergo an audit by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) and is currently in the pre-audit stage, with financial consultants assisting in structuring the accounts to meet applicable standards. Oskaria expressed optimism that future reporting processes will be more streamlined once established patterns for consolidation are in place.
