Prabowo leads Pancasila Day ceremony, Megawati attends

President Prabowo Subianto presided over the commemoration of Pancasila Day at the Pancasila Building in Jakarta. The Head of State arrived at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs complex around 9:36 AM Western Indonesian Time, traveling in a white Maung MV3 Garuda Limousine.

A significant number of Prabowo's cabinet members were already present before 9:00 AM. Attendees included Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan, Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Prisons Yusril Ihza Mahendra, Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian, Minister of Human Rights Natalius Pigai, and Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa. Also present were the Chairman of the National Energy Council (DEN) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid, Minister of Culture Fadli Zon, and Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri Wardhana.

Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Minister Secretary of State Prasetyo Hadi, Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Muhammad Herindra, Chief of the Indonesian National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces General Agus Subiyanto, and Chief of Staff of the Army General Maruli Simanjuntak were also in attendance. Several former national leaders joined the ceremony, including former President Megawati Soekarnoputri, former Vice Presidents Jusuf Kalla and Ma’ruf Amin.

President Prabowo served as the inspector of the ceremony, which carried the theme 'Pancasila Unites the Nation, the Foundation of World Peace.' This theme emphasizes Pancasila's relevance in maintaining national unity and its role in fostering global peace. The ceremony included the reading of the Pancasila text by the Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly, Ahmad Muzani, and the reading of the 1945 Constitution's preamble by the Speaker of the Regional Representative Council, Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin.
