Presenter forgets microphone during live broadcast in Palanga

During a live broadcast from Palanga, Lithuania, a moment of live television mishap occurred when presenter Justina Bezaraitė momentarily forgot her microphone. Her co-host, Mindaugas Stasiulis, smoothly continued the segment, greeting the audience and reminding them of the upcoming singing of the national anthem at 9 p.m.

As Stasiulis handed the microphone to Bezaraitė, she apologized for the oversight, attributing it to "excitement." She then proceeded with the broadcast, noting the time was 8:09 p.m. The event was part of the nationwide tradition of singing Lithuania's national anthem, "Tautiškas giesmė," at 9 p.m. local time on July 6, Statehood Day.

This year marked a milestone for the "Tautiška giesmė aplink pasaulį" (National Anthem Around the World) initiative, as the first generation that has never lived without this tradition came of age. The tradition began in 2009 to commemorate Lithuania's millennium and has since become an annual event uniting Lithuanians across dozens of countries.
