President Sadyr Japarov congratulates Kyrgyz citizens on Independence Day

President Sadyr Japarov used Kyrgyzstan’s 35th Independence Day to present the country as confident, united and increasingly visible on the international stage.

In his congratulatory address, Japarov described independence as a sacred inheritance from ancestors who endured centuries of hardship. He also honored the “legendary parliament” that adopted the Declaration of State Independence and called the preservation of that legacy a duty to future generations.

The president said Kyrgyzstan’s economy was gaining momentum and that the country had earned the trust of more than 100 states. He also pointed to its election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, presenting the position as evidence of the country’s growing international role.

Dear compatriots! Dear Kyrgyz citizens! I sincerely congratulate you on the main national holiday of our country, the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Kyrgyz Republic!

The anniversary coincides with the official opening of the VI World Nomad Games, which celebrate the heritage of the region’s nomadic civilization. Japarov also referred to a summit marking the 25th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, attended by leaders and senior delegations from major countries.

He described the Ырыс Ордо project and Bishkek Arena stadium as major projects completed in time for the national holiday. Celebrations are being held throughout Kyrgyzstan and will conclude in Talas Region, the land associated with the revered epic hero Manas.
