Nigeria's Revenue Service Chairman Zacch Adedeji has pushed back against public perceptions of extravagance surrounding President Bola Tinubu, asserting that the president leads a remarkably frugal lifestyle despite the perks of his office. Adedeji's comments came during a Sunday interview with Channels Television, addressing widespread concerns over the cost of living and government spending.

He claimed the president only uses a car when heading to the airport and eats just one meal per day. Furthermore, Adedeji asserted that Tinubu has remained within Nigeria for the past three months, refuting any notion of extensive foreign travel.

Responding to questions about the presidential convoy, which has reportedly included luxury vehicles like Escalades, Adedeji argued that such assets are fitting for the nation's leader.
