Pride protests in Kraljevo and Zaječar to proceed despite ban in Pirot

Despite a ban in Pirot, Pride protests are scheduled to take place in Kraljevo and Zaječar on Tuesday, August 11, as part of this year's Pride caravan. The "Da se zna!" association, a co-organizer of the Belgrade Pride, confirmed the events, stating they will be peaceful demonstrations in support of LGBT+ individuals in regions of Serbia where discrimination and violence remain a daily reality.

In Kraljevo, the protest will be held at Trg srpskih ratnika (Serbian Warriors Square), while in Zaječar, it will take place at Gradski trg (City Square). The association emphasized that these events are held under the slogan "There is room for all of us," conveying a message that every city, place, and square should be inclusive of LGBT+ people.

The "Da se zna!" association highlighted that the LGBT+ community is an integral part of society. Their issues and concerns affect all citizens, and building a society where everyone belongs requires solidarity and mutual care. The Pride caravan aims to raise awareness and foster a more inclusive environment across Serbia.
