Prime Minister appoints two deputy government inspectors general

Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng has appointed two provincial officials as deputy inspectors general of the Government Inspectorate.

Under Decision 1719, Nguyễn Thanh Tuấn, director of Huế City Police, was transferred and appointed to the post. Born in 1976 and originally from Thanh Hóa Province, Tuấn has held positions ranging from grassroots assignments to work at the Ministry of Public Security. He also served as deputy secretary and secretary of the ministry’s youth organization.

Tuấn became deputy director of Thừa Thiên-Huế Provincial Police in January 2018 and took over as director in 2020. The province is now Huế City.

Under Decision 1716, the prime minister appointed Phạm Thành Ngại, chairman of the Đồng Tháp provincial administration, as the other deputy inspector general. Born in 1971 and originally from Cà Mau Province, Ngại holds a master’s degree in economic law. His previous roles included deputy chairman of Trần Văn Thời District, provincial Party Committee office chief, Năm Căn District Party Committee secretary and Cà Mau City Party Committee secretary.

Ngại later became standing deputy secretary of the Cà Mau Provincial Party Committee and chairman of the provincial administration. In November 2025, the Party Central Secretariat transferred and appointed him deputy secretary of the Đồng Tháp Provincial Party Committee, after which the provincial People’s Council elected him chairman. The Government Inspectorate is headed by Nguyễn Quốc Đoàn. Its listed deputy inspectors general are Nguyễn Văn Cường, Lê Sỹ Bảy, Lê Tiến Đạt, Phạm Thành Ngại and Nguyễn Thanh Tuấn.
