Prophet Muhammad's childhood prayer brought rain to drought-stricken Mecca

A story recounts an event from Prophet Muhammad's childhood, highlighting his early signs of spiritual significance. During a prolonged drought that afflicted Mecca, his uncle Abu Talib took the young Muhammad to the Kaaba.

There, Abu Talib presented the child to pray to Allah for rain. The narrative states that soon after, clouds gathered, and a torrential downpour ensued, reviving the parched land. The story is attributed to Julhumah bin Arfathah, who recounted arriving in Mecca during a period of drought and famine.

Abu Talib, accompanied by other children, held young Muhammad and pressed his back against the Kaaba's wall, praying. The sky, previously clear, became overcast, and heavy rain fell, nourishing the valleys and fields. Abu Talib reportedly alluded to this event in a poem, describing the child as an orphan's helper and a protector of widows.
