Proposed AJ vs Itauma mega fight can surpass Rumble in the Jungle – Oboh

Balmoral Promotions is aiming to stage a major heavyweight boxing match in Nigeria in 2027, featuring British fighters Anthony Joshua and rising sensation Moses Itauma. The proposed fight in Lagos would be the first of its kind on Nigerian soil, intended to honor the fighters' Nigerian heritage.

Oboh, who has returned to Nigeria, expressed a desire to be involved if the fight materializes, emphasizing the significance of such a mega-show in the fighters' homeland.

Comparing the potential fight to the iconic 1974 "Rumble in the Jungle" between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman in Zaire, Oboh believes the Joshua-Itauma bout could surpass it in historical impact and become the biggest fight staged in Africa. However, he acknowledged significant financial and logistical barriers that must be overcome for the fight to happen.
