Prosecutor's Office accused Charles Carrera and requested he be sentenced to four years in prison: the case will go to trial

The charges stem from Carrera's alleged involvement in facilitating the hospitalization of a civilian, identified as Hernández, at the Police Hospital. At the time of the alleged events, Carrera served as the Director General of Secretariat of the Ministry of the Interior. The initial imputation suggested that he falsified information to ensure Hernández's admission and continued treatment at the Police Hospital without incurring costs. While the origin of the stray bullet that injured Hernández remains a subject of suspicion, it has never been judicially proven.
