Prosecutor Who Fought Fraud Becomes Lawyer, Shares 13 Years of Case-Handling Insights

Hsieh Cheng-hsun, a prosecutor with more than 13 years of experience, has moved to the legal profession. He aims to leverage his extensive experience in investigations and courtroom battles to help clients resolve legal issues.

Hsieh previously worked in various prosecutor's offices, including Taipei, New Taipei, and Taitung, where he gained profound experience in criminal investigations and court defenses. He specialized in major cases, consumer crimes, drug offenses, public prosecution, and execution.

His notable cases include a significant fraud involving the advertising company Dable INC, which illicitly profited 3.4 billion NT dollars. He also handled a case of fraud at Yong Feng Bank and a fraud case involving legislator Hsueh Yu-ching. Hsieh's approach focused on tracing the money flow and uncovering the entire criminal industry chain behind fraud groups, rather than just targeting low-level perpetrators.

In a landmark case concerning financial fraud advertising, Hsieh's office targeted advertising platforms like Google and Facebook for their role in disseminating fraudulent investment ads. This initiative marked a shift in anti-fraud efforts, extending accountability to peripheral businesses that facilitate criminal operations.
