Proton Launches New e.Mas 7 EV With Massage Seats, 450km Range

KUALA LUMPUR: Proton Holdings Berhad has unveiled its latest electric vehicle, the e.Mas 7 Premium Plus, emphasizing driver and passenger comfort alongside an improved driving range.

This new variant, developed by Proton's subsidiary Pro-Net, introduces premium features designed for relaxation. These include dual front seats with a massage function, a four-way power-adjustable seat with memory for the front passenger, and a 50-degree reclining leg rest. The vehicle is equipped with an upgraded Aegis Short Blade battery, boasting a capacity of 68.39 kilowatt-hours (kWh). This enhancement provides an estimated driving range of up to 450 kilometers (km).

Despite the larger battery, the e.Mas 7 Premium Plus retains its fast-charging capability, reaching 80% charge from 30% in approximately 20 minutes, similar to the Premium variant. Pro-Net CEO Zhang Qiang expressed confidence that the extended range will reassure electric vehicle users, while the enhanced comfort features make the Premium Plus variant more practical and enjoyable.

"It further strengthens the appeal of the Proton e.Mas 7 as a family-friendly EV for daily use and long-distance travel."

The e.Mas 7 lineup is priced at RM125,800 for the Premium Plus, RM119,800 for the Premium, and RM103,800 for the Prime in Peninsular Malaysia. Special launch rebates of RM7,000 reduce these prices to RM118,800, RM112,800, and RM96,000 respectively. Additional Power Pack Plus offers include free trade-in processing, extra incentives for existing Proton owners, a complimentary home charger, a free adapter, five years of free internet data, and an extended warranty covering unlimited distance for six years and the battery for eight years or 160,000 km.
