PUBG Mobile Turns Kota Tua into Konoha Village, Boosting Jakarta's Tourism and Creative Economy

Jakarta's historic Kota Tua, specifically Taman Fatahillah, has been transformed into a vibrant Konoha village from the popular anime Naruto Shippuden for a special PUBG Mobile event. The "NARUTO: Ninjas Assemble" update and accompanying offline event, running from July 10 to 16, 2026, are designed to invigorate the gaming industry ecosystem while simultaneously stimulating tourism and creative economic activities in the capital.

Supported by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf), and the Kota Tua Area Management Unit (UPK), the event is open to the public free of charge. The collaboration brings iconic Naruto elements to life within Kota Tua, featuring installations such as the Hokage Monument, Ichiraku Ramen Shop, Naruto's Childhood Swing, Edo Tensei Chests, and a Kurama Statue. These attractions are expected to enhance the appeal of the tourist area and stimulate economic activity among local entrepreneurs.

The event's peak activities are scheduled for July 11-12, promising a range of interactive experiences. Attendees can participate in ninja-themed missions, win exclusive merchandise through prize draws, witness a parade of hundreds of cosplayers, and watch a showmatch featuring popular game content creators like Windah Basudara, Cendy, The Side Brothers, Ericko Lim, Winson Raynaldi, Dera, and Ferdian Paleka.

Beyond the physical event, PUBG Mobile has released Version 4.5, introducing the "NARUTO: Ninjas Assemble" game mode. This mode allows players to explore famous Naruto Shippuden locations, including Konoha Village, the Hokage Monument, Naruto's Apartment, and Ichiraku Ramen Shop. The update also incorporates signature ninja abilities like Rasengan, Chidori, Flying Raijin Jutsu, Shadow Clone Jutsu, and Reanimation Jutsu. Additionally, PUBG Mobile features original animations created in collaboration with Studio Pierrot, supervised by the Naruto Production Committee.
