Pubill shared his happiness at being included in the World Cup squad, especially after missing the March call-up due to a rib injury. He described his recent journey as rapid, expressing gratitude for the opportunity and noting that everything has progressed well this season. "Always grateful, everything has gone very well and you can't ask for more," he added during a press conference.

Reflecting on his playing style, Pubill acknowledged the difference between Spain's game, which involves significant play through the center, and that of his club, Atlético de Madrid, which favors wider play. However, he stated he is accustomed to the style of play within the Spanish U-21 team.
