Pum Clack celebrates three years fueling Paraguay's soul, R&B, and hip hop scene

The party series Pum Clack is celebrating its third anniversary on June 20 at Voudevil, solidifying a musical proposal that since 2023 has championed genres such as soul, R&B, neo soul, funk, and hip hop. Founded by Paraguayan musician and producer Marcelo Soler, the initiative has evolved into a vital meeting point for artists and audiences interested in sounds that have historically struggled for mainstream visibility in Paraguay.

Over the past three years, Pum Clack has organized events both in Paraguay and Argentina, blending live performances with DJ sets. This approach aims to foster musical diffusion and cultural exchange. The anniversary celebration is designed to reflect this journey and the growth of a community that finds a creative and listening space within these genres. The event highlights the increasing appreciation for soul and R&B music within the local scene.

A special guest for the anniversary edition is Argentine artist Dandára, recognized as one of the emerging R&B voices in the region. She will present music from her repertoire, which draws heavily on soul, neo soul, and hip hop influences, evident in both her recordings and live performances. Dandára, who gained national attention as a finalist on "La Voz Argentina" in 2022, recently released her debut album, "Ciudad del sol," exploring personal experiences and influences from afrobeat, soul, hip hop, and R&B, including a collaboration with Dante Spinetta.

The lineup also includes Pum Clack's resident artists: Missmaella, Giusseppe, Ross, Marcelo Soler, Rodrigo Quintás, and Diego Colmán. They will perform a medley of songs from their respective projects, spanning various nuances of hip hop, R&B, neo soul, and pop. The night will conclude with a special DJ set exclusively on vinyl by Mario Ferreiro, who will spin classics and references from soul, funk, R&B, and disco music. The event promises a vibrant celebration of urban music genres and their growing influence.
