Purbasari Revives Javanese Royal Beauty Rituals with New Lulur Scrub

Purbasari has introduced Lulur Mandi Teh Keraton, a body scrub that draws inspiration from the centuries-old beauty traditions of Indonesian royal courts, particularly those of the Yogyakarta Keraton.

This new product aims to blend the essence of traditional Javanese royal body care rituals with contemporary formulation advancements. The goal is to offer consumers a bathing experience that not only cleanses the skin but also provides a sense of relaxation akin to a royal spa treatment.

The formulation features key ingredients such as chamomile extract, known for its calming properties and ability to reduce mild irritation. It also includes green tea extract, rich in antioxidants that help protect the skin from premature aging and maintain its elasticity. Jasmine oil is incorporated to moisturize the skin and impart a soothing floral tea aroma, while niacinamide works to reduce the appearance of dullness, promoting a brighter, healthier-looking complexion.

In an effort to connect younger generations with Indonesia's traditional lulur culture, Purbasari organized an event called "A Touch of Royal Beauty" in Yogyakarta. This initiative involved young women from Generation Z in hands-on sessions where they learned to create their own Keraton-style lulur using natural ingredients, offering them a direct experience with this ancestral body care heritage.
