Trump, reportedly touched by Putin's words, expressed gratitude, noting that Putin was the first foreign leader to call him to offer birthday congratulations. In return, Trump extended his best wishes to Putin for Russia Day and conveyed his respect for the Russian people.

The conversation also focused on the delicate negotiations between the United States and Iran regarding a potential agreement. Trump indicated that a deal was imminent, expressing hope for its announcement on the same day.
