PVC craftsman killed in workplace shooting; motive revealed as debt dispute

A fatal shooting in Adana, Turkey, has led to the arrest of three individuals. The victim, 45-year-old PVC craftsman Ali Güloğlu, was gunned down in his workshop on July 20.

Two masked assailants on a motorcycle arrived at Güloğlu's workplace. One suspect, identified as A.E.M., 16, entered the shop and repeatedly shot Güloğlu, who was sitting on a stool. Güloğlu sustained gunshot wounds to his abdomen and leg and collapsed. The assailants fled the scene on their motorcycle.

Following the incident, which was captured on security cameras, Güloğlu was taken to the hospital. He succumbed to his injuries the following day.

An investigation by the Adana Police Department's Homicide Bureau involved reviewing approximately 300 hours of security footage from the area and along the suspects' escape route. This led to the identification of the perpetrators. Police arrested A.E.M. and F.E., 25, who allegedly assisted in the hiding of A.E.M.

During interrogation, the suspects claimed that S.E., 26, had orchestrated the attack. Police subsequently detained S.E. Investigations revealed that the motive for the murder stemmed from a dispute over an unpaid debt owed by Güloğlu's brother to S.E.

A court ordered the detention of A.E.M. and S.E. F.E. was released on judicial control. Authorities are still searching for the suspect who drove the motorcycle.
