Qatar, Egypt, Turkiye condemn Israel's Gaza actions amid fresh strikes and West Bank raid

Qatar, Egypt, and Turkiye have issued a strong joint condemnation of Israel's ongoing military actions in the Gaza Strip, denouncing attacks on civilians, including women and children, and on healthcare infrastructure. The three mediating countries described these actions as a "flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law."

In a statement released via Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the nations urged Israel to comply with its international obligations and fully implement the existing ceasefire agreement. They cautioned that persistent violations undermine efforts to advance the second phase of the truce, particularly after Hamas and other Palestinian factions had accepted a proposed roadmap.

The joint statement also called for enhanced protection for civilians, medical personnel, and healthcare facilities. The mediators implored the international community to exert pressure on Israel to uphold its commitments and ensure the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian and medical aid throughout Gaza.

These condemnations come in the wake of recent Israeli strikes near Gaza City that resulted in two fatalities. Concurrently, Israeli forces conducted a raid in Nablus, in the occupied West Bank, which involved heavy gunfire and tear gas deployment. The Israeli military stated it had eliminated two Hamas commanders, identified as Adnan Taha Abu al-Tayf and Jalal Tsubeih, who were allegedly involved in recent attacks against Israeli troops and civilians.
