Queen Rania: Dazzles in a fabulous dress at the 80th anniversary of Jordanian independence

King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan, alongside the Hashemite royal family, commemorated the 80th anniversary of Jordan's independence on May 25. The historic event, marking the nation's official separation from the United Kingdom, took place at Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman.

Queen Rania was a vision in a pearl-grey, floor-length gown. The dress featured a boat neckline and flared sleeves, adorned with intricate geometric embroidery that evoked traditional architectural patterns. She complemented the elegant design with stilettos from Gianvito Rossi.

The royal couple was joined by their children, Crown Prince Hussein and his wife, Princess Rajwa, as well as Princess Salma and the youngest, Prince Hashem. Princess Iman, who resides in New York with her husband Jameel Alexander Thermiotis since 2023, was notably absent.

Princess Rajwa looked radiant in a sky-blue design by Reema Dahbour, complete with a cape, asymmetrical neckline, and golden bracelets inspired by Arabic calligraphy. She paired the ensemble with a Bottega Veneta clutch.

In an emotional address, King Abdullah II spoke of the enduring spirit of independence. "We speak to you from this land on the anniversary of our nation's independence, a moment that endures in our hearts; a promise and a pact that we defend with honor and integrity. Eighty years later, that conviction remains in an honorable and resilient people, unwavering in their principles. In every step of this journey, our homeland has been our compass and refuge," he stated.
