Quentin Halys wins first ATP title in Kitzbühel

French tennis player Quentin Halys captured his maiden ATP singles title on Saturday, triumphing at the Generali Open in Kitzbühel. The 29-year-old defeated the tournament's top seed and defending champion, Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan, in a hard-fought final with a score of 6-4, 7-6 (6).

This victory marks a career milestone for Halys, who had previously reached one ATP final in Gstaad two years ago, where he lost to Italy's Matteo Berrettini. His performance in Kitzbühel saw him go a step further, securing the coveted championship trophy.

For Bublik, the loss meant he remains at nine career ATP titles, with Kitzbühel being his 17th final appearance. Interestingly, this was the second encounter between Halys and Bublik on the ATP Tour, with their previous match occurring just the week before in Gstaad, where Halys also emerged victorious in three sets.
