Raysut Cement Returns to Profit with OMR2.71 Million First-Half Gain

Raysut Cement Group has returned to profitability, reporting net profit after tax of OMR2.71 million for the first half of the year. The company recorded a loss of OMR2.85 million in the same period of 2025.

The turnaround followed higher sales volumes, greater operational efficiency and improved contributions from subsidiaries including Pioneer Cement, Sohar Cement and Raysut Maldives. The group operates in an Omani cement industry closely linked to construction and infrastructure, and it has continued to strengthen its involvement in infrastructure, real estate development and construction projects.

Raysut has a regional distribution and export network. Its annual production capacity stands at about 3.47 million tonnes of clinker and 5.70 million tonnes of cement.

The company says it plans to build on the improvement by making better use of existing plants and expanding energy, alternative-fuel and mining projects. Its operational transformation programme focuses on raising production efficiency, reshaping the cost structure and maximising the use of assets and production capacity.

Under the slogan “A New Dawn,” Raysut says it is promoting performance, results, accountability, teamwork and tighter cost management. Chairman Ali bin Abdullah Al-Zadjali described the return to profit as an important milestone and said the improvement reflected measures including stronger cost control, improved asset utilisation, performance monitoring and greater accountability and transparency.
