Real Madrid signs Levante striker Espi for €25m

Real Madrid has secured the signing of striker Carlos Espi from Levante for a reported fee of 25 million euros ($29 million). The 21-year-old forward committed to a five-year contract, keeping him at the club until June 30, 2031.

Espi joins Real Madrid after a successful season with Levante, where he netted 11 goals in 25 top-flight appearances in La Liga. His arrival marks the fifth acquisition for Real Madrid this summer, following the signings of Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate, and Denzel Dumfries.

The club has also reportedly agreed terms with RB Leipzig's Ivorian winger Yan Diomande, and Manchester City midfielder Rodri is rumored to be another transfer target. These moves come as Real Madrid, under new coach Jose Mourinho, seeks to rebuild its squad after two consecutive seasons without securing a major trophy.

Espi had been linked with several Premier League clubs, but Real Madrid ultimately secured his signature. Gonzalo Garcia is expected to depart for Fulham as part of the squad adjustments.
