Rebuilt Jiuru Bridge in Kaohsiung opens, enhancing city connectivity and property values

Kaohsiung's Jiuru Bridge has officially reopened after extensive reconstruction, significantly improving connectivity between the Zhongdu and Neiwai districts. The newly completed bridge is expected to streamline traffic and bolster the development of the Greater Art Museum Lifestyle Circle, a rapidly growing area in the city.

The modern design of the new Jiuru Bridge spans the Love River, integrating key attractions like the Zhongdu Wetland Park and the Zhongdu Tangrong Brick Kiln. It features wide pedestrian walkways that seamlessly connect to the surrounding transportation networks, including the planned Museum of Fine Arts MRT station, Gushan Station, and the C18 Gushan LRT station. The city's Public Works Bureau emphasized its responsiveness to public suggestions during the construction process, ensuring safety and smooth traffic flow, including addressing concerns about railing gaps.

Market analysis indicates that the improved connectivity is already supporting property values. In the Zhongdu redevelopment zone, pre-sale compact units are seeing prices in the 500,000 New Taiwan Dollar per ping range. Meanwhile, in the Neiwai area, landscape apartments are being offered at introductory prices in the low 300,000s, both leveraging their proximity to the Art Museum park. Several new residential projects in Zhongdu, including those by Farglory, Chuan Chuan, and Shan Kuan, have recorded prices ranging from approximately 450,000 to over 570,000 NTD per ping. In Neiwai, a new development offers units priced between 410,000 and 430,000 NTD per ping.
