Red Bull Tandemynės: Vilnius hosts first Baltic tandem cycling event

Vilnius hosted the inaugural 'Red Bull Tandemynės' event on July 25, marking the first tandem cycling show in the Baltic states. Held near the White Bridge over the Neris River, the competition saw teams race down the track, with spectators able to view the action from both riverbanks and specially designated areas.

Among the participants were Paulius Samoška and Omantas Jokubaitis, who competed using a 1991 Volkswagen Passat they reportedly built themselves. "Bumpers, everything is there, number 46, red color, steering wheel, brakes, everything works, we finished," Samoška and Jokubaitis joked before the race.

However, the duo later made a splash by jumping into the water dressed only in their underwear. As a song played, they shed their clothes and danced on their "Volkswagen Passat" before taking the plunge. Their performance earned them a total of 42 points from the judges. The event was hosted by comedians Mantas Stonkus and Laura Dragūnaitė, along with content creator Nerijus Trilikauskas-xKhen, with commentary provided by the "Nešvankiai" duo and judging by Dakar Rally racer Rokas Baciuška, traveler Orijus Gasanovas, and content creators Akvilė Bielo-Petravičiūtė, Brahamas, and Karolis Jankauskas.
