Regent Sutjidra Affirms Praja Mandala Singa Ambara Raja Area Belongs to Buleleng Community

Buleleng Regent I Nyoman Sutjidra has emphasized that the Praja Mandala Singa Ambara Raja area, formerly the zero point of Singaraja City, is the property of all its residents. He made this declaration during a religious ceremony at the site, urging the community to collectively preserve this new icon of Buleleng Regency.

"Praja Mandala Singa Ambara Raja belongs to the people of Buleleng, to all of us. It does not belong to me or the Deputy Regent. Let us protect it together so it remains sustainable and can be enjoyed by all," Sutjidra stated. The ceremony marked the culmination of religious rituals, including Mamungkah, Melaspas, Ngenteg Linggih, and Mapedudusan Agung, held at the Praja Mandala Singa Ambara Raja and the Regent's office.

The Regent envisions the iconic central Singaraja area to hold both spiritual significance and serve as a beneficial public space. Through these rituals, the government seeks blessings for safety, well-being, and harmony, hoping the area will maintain its spiritual aura. He also called upon all community members to uphold the cleanliness, order, security, and comfort of the area, viewing it as a symbol of unity and pride for Buleleng in its pursuit of progress, harmony, and prosperity.

Furthermore, Sutjidra revealed plans to revive the Buleleng Port, aiming to restore Singaraja's historical glory as a major trading center. He noted the port's significant historical value as a former gateway for trade, which supported Buleleng's role in education, governance, and culture in Bali. The redevelopment is expected to strengthen the region's historical identity and stimulate economic and tourism growth.
