Reggaeton Artists Offer Scholarships to Iztapalapa University Students

Mexican reggaeton artists Cachirula and Loojan are launching the "Beca Bellaka" scholarship to support university students in Mexico City's Iztapalapa borough. The initiative aims to help young people continue their studies without financial strain.

The scholarship, offering 7,500 Mexican pesos, is part of the "Iztapalapa es así: Juventudes que transforman" event. This event will feature dynamic activities and free musical performances for the youth of the alcaldía. The artists announced the scholarship through social media, expressing gratitude for their community's support and hope for the project's growth.

To be eligible, students must be university residents of Iztapalapa, provide proof of residency, and present an official, signed, and stamped academic transcript or enrollment certificate. Applicants must have maintained a GPA between 9.5 and 10. The selection process will be random.

The event and scholarship distribution will take place on Saturday, August 15, at 4:00 PM at the Deportivo Francisco I. Madero in Iztapalapa. Entry is free. The artists stated, "We thank our community for giving us all their support and love; we hope this project can grow and be able to help and inspire more young people."
