Revolut chief ends speculation over its future in Lithuania: “I state this clearly”

Revolut chief executive Kuba Fast has firmly rejected speculation that the bank could leave Lithuania after obtaining a banking license in France.

The license had prompted public concern that Revolut might move away from Lithuania. Fast responded categorically, saying he wanted to make the company’s position clear.

He also discussed the future of the financial sector, the role of artificial intelligence and problems facing traditional banks. One comparison focused on the customer experience at conventional banks, asking why dealing with them can feel worse than visiting a dentist.

The comments address both Revolut’s position in Lithuania and the wider changes Fast expects technology to bring to banking.
