Ricky Gervais revisits The Office for 25th anniversary

Ricky Gervais is set to revisit his iconic creation, The Office, for its 25th anniversary. The co-creator and star will host a special on his YouTube channel, delving into previously untold stories from the set of the beloved BBC sitcom.

The special promises fans an intimate look at the show's legacy, with Gervais set to share his 25 favorite moments from his time playing the cringeworthy office manager, David Brent. He will also explore the inspiration behind some of the show's most memorable lines.

Beyond The Office, Gervais' YouTube channel will become a hub for 25 years of his career. Archival content from his hit Netflix series After Life and his stand-up specials will also be available, offering a comprehensive look at his decades-long comedic journey.

The Office, co-created with Stephen Merchant, debuted in 2001 and ran for three years, following the lives of employees at Slough paper merchant Wernham Hogg. It is widely regarded as one of the most influential British comedies, celebrated for its innovative mockumentary style. The series garnered six Bafta TV Awards and spawned numerous international adaptations, most notably the highly successful Emmy-winning American version.
