River Plate loans out young forward Ian Subiabre to Tigre

River Plate continues its squad restructuring by loaning out another young player, with forward Ian Subiabre moving to Tigre. Subiabre, 20, was not part of manager Eduardo Coudet's plans and had been training separately with other players deemed surplus.

The loan agreement with Tigre is for 18 months, running until December 2027. Subiabre aims to gain consistent playing time in the top division, which he found difficult at River. His departure is part of a significant squad reduction by the club.

River believes the loan can benefit both parties, allowing Subiabre to develop while the club monitors his progress with an option to recall him. Tigre is also in talks with River for midfielder Santiago Lencina, another young player who could be leaving the club.

If the negotiations for Lencina are successful, he will join Subiabre as another young talent departing River during a transfer window focused on trimming the professional squad and rebuilding for the decisive part of the season.
