Rize drug operation leads to seven arrests

Law enforcement in Rize, Turkey, has successfully dismantled a drug trafficking ring through a targeted operation, leading to the arrest of nine individuals.

The operation, carried out by the Rize Provincial Police Department, involved extensive technical and physical surveillance of suspected drug dealers operating within the city. Following the investigation, teams moved in, apprehending nine suspects.

Searches conducted at the suspects' residences yielded a significant haul of narcotics and related paraphernalia. Seized items included 31.83 grams of skunk, 19.57 grams of synthetic cannabinoid raw material, 5.67 grams of bonzai (a type of synthetic cannabinoid), 0.80 grams of cubar cannabis, and 21 cannabis plants. Additionally, authorities confiscated a precision scale, equipment used for cultivating cannabis, and chemical liquids believed to be used in drug production.

Following interrogation, one suspect was released, while the remaining eight were brought before the court. A judge ordered seven of the suspects to be taken into custody pending trial, with the eighth individual released on judicial control.
