RM20 Million Motorsports Circuit to Be Built in Perlis

The state of Perlis, Malaysia, is set to develop a new motorsports circuit valued at RM20 million, a project that aims to enhance the state's sports sector and stimulate economic activity.

The groundbreaking work for the implementation of this project is expected to begin next August.

The new facility will be constructed in the Chuping Valley Industrial Area (CVIA) in Padang Besar, covering approximately 33 acres. Menteri Besar Abu Bakar Hamzah announced that groundbreaking for the project is anticipated to commence in August.

This development is expected to feature modern motorsports amenities and include a straight track measuring about 1.3 kilometers. The RM20 million investment project is projected to be completed within two years of its commencement. Abu Bakar expressed hope that the circuit will act as a catalyst for the growth of the motorsports sector in Perlis and open avenues for future events.
