Robbers hold employee at gunpoint in Ritsona business raid

A gang of robbers targeted a business in Ritsona, Evia, in the early hours of Thursday. The intruders meticulously entered the premises around 2:40 AM by prying open a window.

While some gang members searched the ground floor offices, two ascended to the mezzanine. There, they violently woke an employee, holding a pistol to his head. They struck him lightly on the face before immobilizing him. The robbers, dressed in dark clothing with hoods and gloves, spoke Greek to their victim.

The investigation within the business lasted about ten minutes. They forced open a safe, taking low-value items, and stole 500 euros in cash from an office. The employee's personal mobile phone was also taken as they fled.

To evade detection, the perpetrators removed the security system's recorder and sprayed fire extinguishers on surfaces they touched, attempting to destroy evidence. Forensic teams collected tools like a screwdriver and black tape. The employee was unharmed and did not require medical examination. Police are actively searching for the group.
